The Heisei Reiwa no Hyakumonyo Project（woodblock publicized in January 2020）

Happiness, a prayer for world peace, growth, prosperity, marital bliss

This design was born out of the desire to capture the wind in a pattern. The swaying of the plants and trees reveal the presence of the wind. Born and reborn in a continuous swirl of circles, the wind collides with wind, overlapping, mixing… The pattern features an arabesque motif that carries a prayer for world peace in the flow of the wind that flows and blows without ceasing.
