The Heisei Reiwa no Hyakumonyo Project（woodblock publicized in February 2019）

Matchmaking, prosperity, change

This pattern was created in collaboration with Rihga Royal Hotel Kyoto to commemorate its 50th anniversary.
The tiles on the hotel’s exterior are designed to resemble bamboo, combined with the phases of the moon in the nodes of the bamboo stems. The pattern expresses the hope and desire for prosperous relationships with future guests and that the hotel will grow and change with the times.
