The Heisei Reiwa no Hyakumonyo Project（woodblock publicized in December 2021）

World peace, diversity, harmony, matchmaking

This pattern is based on the mental image of rain shimmering in the light. It is made of nothing but circles and lines, with the circles representing the radiance of light and the vertically running lines representing flow and connection. It depicts the way each tiny, illuminated sparkle radiates infinitely and spreads out into the world. Each circle represents a window into humanity, and carries the meaning of diversity, overlapping yet harmonizing, in the hope that the world will fit together in a circular fashion. Created in collaboration with Sasaki of the spa resort Kifu no Sato, the pattern reflects this concept.
