Prosperity, matchmaking, change

Since ancient times, people have believed that knots and twists harbor special powers. With its roots in the traditional Japanese art form of kumihimo (braided cords), this pattern is composed of a continuous series of rising and falling connected lines, expressing views of life and death. In connecting life, death, and rebirth, it also represents change and prosperity. With a motif based on a never-ending knot, this pattern delivers a prayer for the continuation of life.
