At the Karacho Honten ordering salon in Saga, you can order a variety of karakami, including entrance artwork, partitions, and framed pieces for hotels, offices, hospitals, and clinics. We also accept orders for large pieces and artwork in increments of several meters or even tens of meters in length.
Karakami comes in several variations that color the space with a unique world view. In addition to the traditional mica-printed karakami, we also offer a beautiful white-on-white variety that perfectly accentuates the mica, as well as options in shimmering champagne gold and our distinctive blue.
Starting with traditional mica-printed karakami, elegant karakami with beautiful shades of white on white that make full use of mica, karakami shining in a beautiful champagne gold color, and distinctive blue karakami, all create a unique world view and color the space. In our atelier, each piece is painstakingly, wholeheartedly, and individually handcrafted for our customers. Our champagne gold karakami, in particular, serves to illustrate how we innovate on a daily basis as we blend and apply colors to complement the modern world. Champagne gold karakami did not exist in historical, conventional karakami; indeed, even the concept of champagne gold was unknown in Edo Period Japan (1603-1867). Karacho’s karakami, which has simultaneously maintained ritual practices and nurtured innovation, is an evolving tradition that, together with its unparalleled history, creates luxurious spaces with exceptional beauty.
